Cheque Presentation to Local LGBT+ Project

Ormiston Denes Academy students are delighted to be presenting a cheque to the Norfolk LGBT+ Project after their fundraising production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream .The PRIDE production, the first ever held at the academy, was entirely run by students and audiences made a charitable donation in exchange for their tickets.

A total of £150 was raised, which will go to the charity which supports LGBT people in Norfolk and Waveney. Miss Grice, who runs the school’s PRIDE group said: “It was wonderful to have students performing on stage in the academy again after such a long time being unable to hold events like this. For it to be an entirely student-run production for such a good cause was even more special. We were all so impressed with their efforts. “Year 11 student Archie, who coordinated the production said: “It feels incredible to be able to support this fantastic organisation which does so much for the local LGBT community. PRIDE is very important to us at Ormiston Denes and we had great fun putting the show together.

Well done to everyone involved!
