Students shine in All The World’s A Stage production

Students have been working tirelessly since September 2016 in preparation for this year’s annual production.

Pupils from local primary schools attended afternoon performances and the evening performances were very well attended.

The showcase was based on a flight covering various continents from which extracts from musicals, dance and poetry were based, such as Oliver, the Lion King, Willy Wonka, not to mention the superb performance of an extract from Blood Brothers.

Hannah Morris, Head of Drama, who is leading the production, said: “Throughout the year the students have participated in a theatre group that has focused on their performance skills and supported them to develop their singing, dancing and acting abilities. All of their hard work and development, over the course of the academic year, has been collated for this showcase of their talents, themed around travel.”

Year 10 head boy Hubert Czubaj is the pilot/narrator for the production as he is joined by his cabin crew in leading the audience on the journey through music and the cultures of Europe, Africa, Asia, the USA and UK. The production also featured head girl, Lauren Benjamin, as part of the cast who sang Let It Go, from Frozen, while the show’s stage manager is year ten student Katy Leaper.
